School is my second home.

When my mother fell ill, I was sure I would have to leave school to look after my younger siblings. Fees were the first thing we could no longer afford.

The scholarship didn't just cover my classes — it covered my place in the world. This term, 120 of us stayed in school who otherwise would not have.

I want to be a nurse. I know now that it is possible, because people I have never met decided my education was worth protecting.
