Springs of Life Zimbabwe stands with sex workers and marginalised communities — those too often left out of the decisions that shape their lives. Rooted in Zimbabwe since 2012 and formally registered in 2015, we are a community-led organisation that builds respect, advances rights, and improves wellbeing — creating platforms where stories become strategy and dignity becomes the default.

Respect and Dignity
We recognise the inherent dignity, worth, rights, and contributions of every sex worker. We reject stigma, discrimination, violence, exploitation, and all forms of dehumanisation.
Equity and Justice
We work to remove the social, legal, economic, and health-related barriers that affect sex workers, especially those facing multiple forms of discrimination. We promote fairness, equal opportunities, and access to services and rights.
Community Leadership
Sex workers are at the centre of decisions that affect their lives and work. We uphold the principle: “Nothing About Us Without Us.” Sex workers should lead, shape, implement, and evaluate the organisation’s work.
Accountability
We take responsibility for our decisions, actions, use of resources, and commitments to the community. We welcome feedback, learn from mistakes, and ensure that leaders, staff, partners, and donors remain answerable to sex workers.
Transparency and Integrity
We communicate honestly and openly, manage resources responsibly, and make information accessible to members and stakeholders. We act consistently with our mission, policies, and commitments.
Inclusion and Non-Discrimination
We value and include all sex workers regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, migration status, HIV status, religion, socioeconomic status, or place and type of work.
Self-Determination and Empowerment
We believe sex workers have the right to make informed decisions about their bodies, work, health, safety, relationships, and future. Our role is to strengthen community power — not to speak over or make decisions for sex workers.
Safety and Well-Being
We promote physical, emotional, digital, financial, and occupational safety. We create confidential, supportive, and trauma-informed spaces where sex workers can seek assistance without fear of judgement or exposure.
Solidarity and Collective Action
We build unity within the sex-worker community and work in solidarity with movements advancing gender justice, labour rights, health rights, LGBTQI+ rights, disability rights, and broader human rights.
Collaboration and Partnership
We work with partners who respect sex workers’ leadership, rights, knowledge, and priorities. Partnerships must be ethical, mutually beneficial, transparent, and free from tokenism.
Evidence, Learning, and Innovation
We value community knowledge, lived experience, research, and evidence. We continuously learn, adapt our programmes, and develop practical solutions led by the needs and priorities of sex workers.
Sustainability and Resilience
We strengthen the long-term power, leadership, well-being, and financial sustainability of the organisation and the wider sex-worker movement.
